Xin Qiao

Xin Qiao serves as an Assistant Professor of Measurement and Research at the University of South Florida's College of Education. Her academic focus centers on advancing educational measurement and psychometrics through innovative applications of statistical modeling and data science techniques.

Her research interests span several interconnected domains within educational assessment:

• Educational Measurement Theory: Development and application of advanced psychometric models including Item Response Theory (IRT) and Cognitive Diagnostic Models (CDM)
• Statistical Modeling: Implementation of sophisticated statistical techniques including Bayesian methods, latent variable models, and count data analysis
• Reading Assessment: Specialized focus on oral reading fluency measurement using model-based approaches and automated scoring systems
• Process Data Analysis: Utilization of response times and action sequences to enhance diagnostic assessment capabilities
