Dr. Guo's research focuses on pH-sensitive liposomes and nanoparticle drug delivery systems for targeted cancer therapy, protein delivery, and gene delivery. His group combines chemical synthesis, physical characterization, and biological testing to develop smart formulations that enhance therapeutic efficacy and safety.
Recent publications highlight his work on micellar platinum drug formulations, liposomal co-delivery of anticancer drugs, and pH-switchable delivery systems. His team actively collaborates with pharmacy and pharmacology students, including Shen Zhao, Yifan Lu, and Ruiqi Huang.
- Grants:
- $3,200 University of the Pacific Scholarly Artistic Activity Grant (2022)
Dr. Guo mentors pre-pharmacy students and contributes to the Beta Omega Chapter of the Rho Chi Honor Society, emphasizing active learning and deep thinking in courses like Advanced Drug Delivery Systems and Pharmacology.
