Xiayun Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her B.S. from Tsinghua University and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, followed by industry experience in the Oil & Gas sector. Her research focuses on advanced manufacturing, combining precision engineering and additive manufacturing (AM).
