Xiaosong Meng

Xiaosong Meng, MD/PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Dedman Family Scholar in Clinical Care in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His clinical expertise includes the treatment of urologic malignancies such as kidney, bladder, prostate, testicular, and penile cancers, with a particular focus on prostate cancer and focal therapy approaches. He offers advanced treatments like robotic radical prostatectomy, transurethral ultrasound ablation (TULSA), and irreversible electroporation (IRE). Dr. Meng is a key contributor to the NYU prostate MRI-US fusion-targeted biopsy database and the CAPTAIN clinical trial comparing surgery to ablation for prostate cancer. His research emphasizes optimizing prostate cancer detection through imaging and improving patient selection for focal therapies.
