Professor Xiaoqi Feng is Professor of Urban Health and Environment at the UNSW School of Population Health and Honorary Professorial Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health, Australia. She has authored over 200 publications with a career Field-Weighted Citation Impact above 9, led major research projects with over $21 million in funding including NHMRC and Heart Foundation fellowships.
Her research focuses on built environment and health, climate and health, social determinants of health, nature prescribing, and green space interventions. Key investigations examine how urban design impacts chronic diseases, mental health, and health inequities.
Professor Feng's work demonstrates consistent focus on translating epidemiological findings into environmental and health policy solutions. Recent publications analyze nature exposure as intervention for loneliness, diabetes epidemiology trends, and climate-health relationships.
