Xiaojing Zheng

Dr. Xiaojing Zheng is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds PhDs in Human Genetics (2007) and Biostatistics (2012) from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on translational studies integrating multi-omics data (e.g., scRNA-seq, DNA, proteomics) to identify disease biomarkers and susceptibility genes in infectious diseases. She develops statistical methods for causal network analysis, mediation analysis, and missing data inference.

Research Interests

Her work spans infectious disease pathogenesis, vaccine development, and precision medicine.
