Xianjun Geng is the Dean and Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished University Chair at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. He serves as the senior academic and administrative leader of the college, overseeing strategic, financial, and operational directions. Prior to this, he was the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the Freeman School of Business, Tulane University, where he also held the Freeman School Distinguished Chair in Business and led the Master of Business Analytics program as its founding Executive Director.

Geng has advised academic programs and served in editorial leadership, including as Senior Editor of Production and Operations Management and Associate Editor for Management Science, Information Systems Research, and MIS Quarterly. He has taught business analytics and information technology management across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels at the University of Washington, University of Texas at Dallas, and Tulane University. His grants and leadership in founding the Master of Business Analytics program highlight his commitment to academic innovation.
