Jose Luis Contreras-Vidal

Dr. Contreras-Vidal is Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished Professor at the University of Houston, directing the NSF BRAIN Center. His research develops non-invasive brain-machine interfaces for neurorehabilitation, including exoskeletons for spinal cord injury patients.

Recipient of IEEE and AIMBE fellowships. Leads NIH/NSF grants on neural decoding and pediatric exoskeletons. Research integrates arts and neuroscience through projects like neural mapping of creative processes.
