Dr. Xi Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Washington University in St. Louis, leading a research group focused on quantum phenomena in low-dimensional materials. Her work utilizes advanced magneto-optical spectroscopy to study excitons, electrons, and phonons in quantum materials for quantum simulation and communication applications.
Key research directions include: novel magnetic properties in moiré superlattices, fabrication of 2D heterostructures with tailored artificial lattices, development of dynamic quantum simulators, and quantum optoelectronics based on low-dimensional perovskites.
