Dr. Wynnetta Wimberley is a clinically trained Womanist pastoral theologian and Assistant Teaching Professor of Practical Theology at Wake Forest University. She serves as Faculty Director for the Thriving Congregations Initiative and founded HULDAH Consulting, specializing in clergy care, counseling, and spiritual leadership development.

Her research focuses on mental health in African American clergy, particularly depression stemming from the 'cultural sacramentalization' of Black preachers in Protestant traditions. She has contributed to studies on trauma response in sexual assault survivors, pediatric bioethics, and health disparities in Hepatitis-C and HIV infections among underserved populations.
Scientific contributions include:
