Wulf Kaal is a full-time Professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. He holds a PhD in Law and Economics from Humboldt Universitaet zu Berlin, a JD and LLM from the University of Illinois College of Law, and an MBA in Finance from Durham University. His expertise spans business law, compliance, decentralized systems, and cryptocurrency regulation. He co-authored the influential book Decentralization: Technology's Impact on Organizational and Societal Structure, proposing concepts like distributed jurisdiction for blockchain governance.
His research focuses on the intersection of law, economics, and emerging technologies like blockchain and AI. He has advised corporations on financial regulations, served as an expert witness in complex litigation involving hedge funds and private equity, and is a FINRA arbitrator. Kaal teaches courses on Business Associations and supervises research papers.
