Prof. Dr. Wouter Van Gompel is an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) at Hasselt University's Faculty of Sciences, leading the Hybrid Materials Design (HyMaD) research group. His work focuses on designing hybrid materials for optoelectronics, particularly low-dimensional hybrid perovskites. He holds a PhD from Hasselt University (2019) and completed postdoctoral research at EPFL and the University of Cambridge, supported by FWO and BOF grants.
