Wouter Blokland is an Assistant Professor of Tax Law at the Faculty of Law and the Kooijmans Institute at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research focuses on tax litigation, EU tax law, and legal precedents, particularly in VAT and administrative law contexts. He contributes to ancillary roles as an author for Wolters Kluwer and Stichting NL Fiscaal since 2017 and serves as a judge at the Amsterdam Court of Appeal since 2021.
His research explores topics such as judicial precedents in tax disputes, VAT deductions for agricultural activities, and EU legal frameworks governing taxation. He teaches courses on tax law, including 'Omzetbelasting' (VAT), and supervises Master's theses in fiscal law.
