Prof. Albert Bomer is a Full Professor of Tax & Technology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam within the Faculty of Law. He holds multiple professorships including at the Kooijmans Institute and chairs research areas in Law & Technology and Law, Markets and Behavior. His roles include Valorisation Portfolio Holder at the Faculty of Law and Program Director for the Master’s in Tax Law. Ancillary activities include serving as a Guest Lecturer at the Nederlandse Orde van Belasting Adviseurs (NOB), independent author/speaker, editor-in-chief of TaxTech journal, and a position at Tilburg University (2021–2027).
Research focuses on EU tax law, digital taxation, administrative law, and behavioral aspects of tax systems. Key collaborations involve cross-border tax cases and technology-driven tax compliance.
