Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ischinger is an Honorary Professor of Security Policy and Diplomatic Practice at the University of Tübingen’s Institute of Political Science. He holds affiliations with the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and is part of the Centre for International Relations/Peace and Conflict Research (CIRP). His career includes roles as Chairman of the Munich Security Conference (2008–2022), Germany’s Ambassador to the UK (2006–2008), and Ambassador to the US (2001–2006). He served as Deputy Foreign Minister (1998–2001) and led EU Troika negotiations on Kosovo (2007). Recently, he chaired the OSCE Panel of Eminent Persons on European Security (2015) and represented the OSCE in Ukraine’s National Dialogue Roundtables (2014).
