Wojciech Szlachcikowski

Prof. Wojciech Szlachcikowski is a violinist and educator affiliated with the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He holds the academic rank of Professor, teaching violin in the Department of String Instruments within Faculty I (Conducting, Composition, and Music Theory). His career includes roles as Head of the Department of String Instruments (2012–2021) and Vice-Rector for Artistic Affairs (2021–2024). A graduate of the Academy (1988), he furthered his training through masterclasses in Łańcut, Weimar, and Siena. He has performed internationally with ensembles like the National Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in Warsaw and the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk. His awards include the title of Professor of Musical Arts (2012).
