Prof. Wojciech Charemza is a Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Business and International Relations, Academy of Finance and Business Vistula. Previously, he held a professorship at the University of Leicester, UK, for over 20 years. He served as Advisor to the President of the National Bank of Poland (2004–2007) and currently serves as Deputy Director of the Institute of Economic Research. His research focuses on econometric analysis of time series, macroeconomic forecasting, geopolitical uncertainty's impact on economies, and simulation methods in prediction.
His work is published in prestigious journals such as Economic Journal, Review of Economic Studies, International Journal of Forecasting, and European Economic Review. His interests also include understanding mechanisms driving scientific publication behavior and improving macroeconomic forecast methodologies.
Charemza is actively involved in EU-funded academic projects at his institution and contributes to interdisciplinary research at multiple campuses, including international programs with London South Bank University.
