Marta Götz

Prof. Marta Götz is Deputy Rector for Scientific Research and Professor at Vistula University. She holds a PhD in Economic Sciences from the Economic University in Poznań (Poland) and studied at Aalborg University (Denmark). Her research focuses on Industry 4.0, digital transformation, foreign direct investment (FDI), and cluster economics, with emphasis on post-transition economies. She has led projects funded by the National Science Center (NSC), Visegrad Fund, and EU programs. She is affiliated with the Academy of International Business (AIB), European International Business Academy (EIBA), and Polish Economic Society Poznań (PES).

Education: PhD in Economic Sciences (Economic University in Poznań), MSc from Aalborg University (Denmark). Professional history includes roles as assistant professor at the Western Institute in Poznań (2007–2015) and assistant at Warsaw School of Economics (2004–2006).

Her work examines the interplay between Industry 4.0 adoption, FDI policies, and cluster competitiveness in Poland and Germany. Recent articles analyze digital transformation challenges, cluster-based innovation ecosystems, and geopolitical impacts on international business. She has received the NASE scholarship and contributed to policy research on Eurozone expansion dynamics.

Teaching expertise spans Management, Economics, International Relations, and Logistics. She oversees Vistula University programs in Bristol, UK, and co-develops double diploma programs with London South Bank University. Her grants include €2.1M from NSC for digital transformation studies and €1.5M from Visegrad Fund for cluster research.

Labs/Teams: Leads the Industry 4.0 Research Group at Vistula, collaborating with German clusters like Hamburg Aviation Cluster (HAv). Active in EU Horizon 2020 projects on smart cities and innovation ecosystems.
