Dr. Witold Walkowiak is a Lecturer at the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business, affiliated with the Faculty of Business and International Relations and the Department of Finance and Accounting. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and has extensive professional experience in finance and banking sectors. His career includes roles at Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A., Bank BPH S.A., and PZU S.A., focusing on financial management, risk management, and strategic planning.
His teaching and research interests center on financial institutions' management, accounting practices, and business planning. He has contributed to the Academy of Finance since 2009, delivering courses such as management of credit institutions, banking accounting, and financial management of insurance companies.
Notably, he was a British Council scholar at the University of Cambridge and a Fulbright scholar at the Brookings Institution. His professional trajectory spans over four decades, combining academic work with leadership roles in banking and insurance sectors.
