Prof. Barbara Karlikowska is a Lecturer at Vistula University, affiliated with the Faculty of Business and International Relations and the Department of Finance and Accounting. She has been an academic teacher since 1998, specializing in risk management, SME financing, and corporate social responsibility. Her work includes authoring/co-authoring numerous scientific publications in finance and economics.
Education: Doctor of Economic Sciences (Vistula University), BEng and PhD qualifications, graduate of Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Completed postgraduate studies in Accounting and Insurance Studies, earning licenses as an Insurance Broker and Independent Accountant.
Research focuses on financial reporting, business costs, and SME establishment/financing. She contributed to a Ministry of Science and Higher Education grant (Innovative Poland in Europe 2020). She participates in interdisciplinary doctoral seminars in Management, Economics, Logistics, and Cyber Security.
Teaching roles span Vistula University’s branches in Poland and the UK, including programs like the Polish-British Double Diploma with London South Bank University. She is involved in EU-funded projects and programs such as Decarbonisation and Sustainable Business, Advanced Mathematics for Teachers, and Tourism Management.
