Willington Amutuhaire is a Clinical Fellow in Cardiology at Yale School of Medicine. He holds an MD from Makerere University School of Medicine (2011) and an MPH from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2014). His research focuses on understanding cardiometabolic risks and cardiovascular disease prevention among populations living with HIV, particularly in resource-limited settings. He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Human Hypertension and Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine. Prior to his fellowship, he worked for 8 years in Uganda implementing health systems programs targeting HIV and non-communicable diseases. He also served as a Senator (Lord Councilor) in Kampala Capital City Council, advocating for improved air quality.
