Tonya Crook, MS, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine, specializing in Infectious Diseases. She serves as Program Director for the Infectious Disease Fellowship and coordinates the ID elective for Internal Medicine residents and medical students. Her clinical practice focuses on HIV care, complex infections, and tropical medicine. Dr. Crook holds a DTMH from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.

She has published extensively on topics such as post-surgical infections, babesiosis epidemiology, and outpatient antimicrobial therapy outcomes.

Dr. Crook leads initiatives to integrate Infectious Diseases education into clinical practice and has collaborated on multi-center studies addressing Mycobacterium chimaera infections and sepsis management.
