Willie F. Tolliver

Willie F. Tolliver is an Associate Professor and Director of Social Justice Education and Equity at the Silberman School of Social Work, City University of New York. His scholarship focuses on anti-oppression social work practice, racial justice, and transformative leadership in human services. He developed and chairs the Committee for Undoing Racism at Hunter College.

Research examines structural factors contributing to police violence against Black communities, decolonizing approaches in therapeutic practices, and equity-focused organizational leadership. His publications integrate critical race theory with social work education and community practice frameworks.

Administratively, he directs initiatives promoting equity in social work curriculum and previously led the One Year Residence MSW pathway program. Community engagement includes collaborative projects with Westchester County Family Court and Administration for Children's Services.
