William Wooten

Dr. William Wooten is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Infectious Disease and Critical Care Medicine at the University of South Carolina's School of Medicine Columbia, Department of Internal Medicine. A Charleston, SC native, he completed undergraduate studies at South Carolina State University and earned his medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Wooten specializes in multi-drug resistant infections in intensive care units, opportunistic diseases in immunocompromised populations, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and point-of-care ultrasonography. He has a strong commitment to medical education as evidenced by his induction into the Ohio State Courage to Teach Society.
