Dr. William 'Pike' Stephens is a Professor of Chemistry at Delaware Valley University, where he has taught since 2001. His teaching focuses on organic chemistry, molecular modeling, and analytical methods. He developed a molecular modeling laboratory for undergraduate chemistry courses. Stephens holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Vermont (199?) and a B.S. in Chemistry from Nason College (198?).
Active in university governance, he has served on the Curriculum Committee (co-chair), Faculty Council, and currently chairs the Promotion and Tenure Committee. He revitalized the Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society and advises chemistry students, earning the 2004-2005 Advisor of the Year award. Externally, he runs summer chemistry workshops for Central Bucks School District high school students.
Recognized with the 2004 Harleysville National Bank Great Professorship Award, his contributions span chemical education and institutional leadership. His research interests align with organic chemistry pedagogy and laboratory innovation.
