William Skinner is an Adjunct Fellow at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the School of Social Sciences and the Department of Anthropology and Development Studies. His research focuses on anthropological studies of landscape, regional identity, space and place, dwelling, terroir, production and consumption, and hydrosocial adaptations to water risk in agriculture.
Dr. Skinner earned his PhD in Anthropology, with a thesis examining the McLaren Vale wine region of South Australia. He has also conducted anthropological research on wine production in Hvar, Croatia. Currently, he serves as a postdoctoral researcher on the ARC Discovery project 'Hydrosocial Adaptations to Water Risk in Australian Agriculture.'
