William Fox serves as an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University's Arthur Kroeger College, holding the Practitioner-in-Residence position for the Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management, and is a Senior Fellow at Massey College, University of Toronto.
His academic credentials include a Doctorate in Communication with a specialty in media effects theory from Carleton University, a Master's degree in journalism, and studies at l'Université de Paris (Sorbonne).
Fox's research focuses on the dynamic interplay between press, politics, and public policy, with expertise in political communication, media influence on truth, and digital-era governance. His 2022 book Trump, Trudeau, Tweets, Truth: A Conversation critically examines contemporary challenges in political discourse, while his earlier work Spinwars, Politics and New Media (1999) established foundational insights into media-politics interactions.
