William E. Klein

William E. Klein is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at Yale University. Previously, he taught at NYU's Global Liberal Studies program, serving as Chair of Law, Ethics, and Religion. He holds a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University under J.G.A. Pocock and studied under Quentin Skinner at Cambridge. His research focuses on the history of political and constitutional thought from antiquity to early modern Europe, including studies on civil strife and democracy.
