Dr. William Crawley is a Professor in the Department of Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Legal Studies at the University of West Florida's College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. With over 25 years in higher education, he has held leadership positions including Dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies, associate dean, and department chair. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of Nebraska Omaha, an M.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina, and executive certifications from Harvard, MIT, Cambridge, and Oxford.
His research specializes in transformational leadership—focusing on maximizing human potential and organizational performance—alongside educational equity, curriculum innovation, and technology integration in pedagogy. He has presented at over 60 conferences, including the 2022 Oxford International Roundtable on Covid Learning Loss.
