William Chang

William Chang, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Nephrology) at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on kidney tissue engineering, vascular biology, and regenerative medicine. He earned his MD and PhD from New York University and a BA in Biology from Harvard University. His work includes developing kidney organoid models using amniotic membrane scaffolds and studying pericyte-endothelial interactions in vascular networks. Notable achievements include winning the Kidney X Artificial Kidney Prize (2023) and being a Yale Blavatnik Fund semifinalist (2019).
