William Barbee is an Associate Professor at Howard University's School of Business, Department of Finance & International Business. He specializes in financial markets analysis, econometric modeling, and policy impacts on savings and investment strategies. His teaching focuses on investment principles, wealth management, personal financial planning, and technical analysis of financial markets.
Education: Ph.D. in Economics from the Catholic University of America (1974), M.A.T. in Economics from University of Massachusetts Amherst (1966), and B.A. with High Honors in Economics from University of Maryland (1965).
Research interests span valuation ratios (PSR/PBR), technical analysis, presidential policy impacts on equity markets, and development finance in Sub-Saharan Africa. His empirical work highlights inverse relationships between valuation metrics and stock returns, as well as lagged return patterns for undervalued portfolios.
