William Baggett is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Memphis. He previously served as an Instructor and Project Coordinator in the same department, leading the development of DeepTutor—an intelligent tutoring system using natural language dialogue to teach conceptual physics. He also held roles as a part-time Department Chair of Computer Information Systems at Strayer University and a Business Analyst at FedEx Express, where he developed software requirements for PowerPad.
Education: PhD in Cognitive Psychology (University of Memphis, 1998), MS in Computer Science, and MBA in Management Information Systems. His teaching focuses on programming, ethics, and databases, while research emphasizes intelligent tutoring systems.
