Dr. Vasile Rus is the Jack and Jane Morris Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Memphis. He holds affiliations with the Institute for Intelligent Systems and has been a faculty member since 2004. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and data science, with applications in intelligent tutoring systems and software defect management. Dr. Rus has secured over $20 million in grants from NSF, IES, and ONR, and his work on software defect reports earned him the FedEx Institute of Technology Systems Testing Research Fellowship.
Education: PhD in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University (2002).
