William A. Bottiglieri is a Professor of Accounting at the LaPenta School of Business, Iona College. He holds a JD from the New York School of Law and an MBA and BBA from Iona College. His research focuses on taxation, estate planning, and corporate ethics, with publications in journals like Journal of Business and Economic Research. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting and federal income tax, integrating computer-based tax research tools. Bottiglieri is a certified public accountant (CPA) with experience in public accounting, law, and taxation.
Professional affiliations include membership in the AICPA, NYSBA, and NYSSCPA. He coordinates Iona's Taxpayer Assistance (TPA) Program and has moderated related initiatives. His work addresses contemporary issues such as abusive tax shelters, non-profit regulation, and economic challenges for the elderly.
