Will Fairbanks

Professor Will Fairbanks serves as the Director of Bands at Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SNU), leading the 'Sound of the Storm' band program. With over 30 years of experience, he previously directed bands at Weatherford High School (Oklahoma), Greenville University (Illinois), and Trinity Valley Community College (Texas), where his band achieved national recognition including performances at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

He holds dual master’s degrees in Conducting and Divinity, combining music leadership with pastoral ministry. His professional roles include state-level band director association presidencies, national adjudication, and workshop facilitation. Fairbanks emphasizes student leadership development, performance excellence, and community outreach through music.

At SNU, he oversees band participation in athletic events, campus activities, and community service initiatives like performances at senior centers. Upcoming highlights include Homecoming’s Day with the Band event in November 2024. His vision integrates faith-driven musical excellence with practical career preparation for students.
