Dr Will Bolton is a NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Neurosurgery at the University of Leeds' School of Medicine. He graduated in Medicine from Leeds in 2016 after completing an intercalated BSc in Clinical Sciences Medical Imaging. Currently, as an Academic Foundation Doctor and NIHR Clinical Research Fellow, he is pursuing a PhD focused on developing surgical technologies for low and middle-income countries.
He leads the MedTech Foundation, a trainee-led initiative under the NIHR Surgical MedTech Cooperative that promotes interdisciplinary research and skill development in medical technology among early-career professionals.
His research examines:

- Essential/emergency surgery systems
- Orthopaedic trauma solutions
