David Jayne is the Bowel Cancer UK & RCS Engl. Professor of Surgery at the University of Leeds and Hon. Consultant Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He holds leadership roles as Clinical Director of the NIHR MedTech Co-operative in Surgical Technologies and the NIHR Global Health Research Group. His clinical expertise includes robotic/minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer and pelvic floor dysfunction. Research focuses on surgical technology development, including nanoparticles, microfluidics, and regenerative medicine. He leads several NIHR-funded clinical trials and global initiatives in Sierra Leone and India.
