Roger Gundle

Roger Gundle serves as College Lecturer in Medicine at St Catherine's College and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Oxford, with continuous service as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre since 1995. He previously directed Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery training for the Oxford Deanery (2001-2009) and held a Clinical Lecturer position at Oxford from 1989-1995.

Research focuses on connective tissue cell biology in human disease (particularly inflammatory joint conditions), clinical management of prosthetic joint infections, and surgical outcome analysis for adult hip/knee procedures. Gundle has taught Human Anatomy to Oxford medical undergraduates since 1989 while leading Musculoskeletal Anatomy initiatives for the University Anatomy Department.
