Will Bailey is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of English within the City University of New York (CUNY), teaching at both Lehman College and The College of Staten Island. He holds a B.A. from California State University and an M.A. from National University of San Diego. Before relocating to New York in 2012, he spent years in San Diego as an educator, administrator, and counselor in Special Education. His academic focus centers on American Modernist writers Sherwood Anderson and Sinclair Lewis.
His research interests span American Modernism, Literary Studies, and 20th Century American Literature, with a particular emphasis on the works of Anderson and Lewis. Additional expertise includes Special Education and Teacher Effectiveness Training, informed by his administrative and counseling roles.
Will transitioned to CUNY to reside near his son and daughter-in-law, who also teach English at CUNY institutions. He has presented workshops on Teacher Effectiveness Training and contributed to educational practices through his administrative and counseling experiences.
