Lowery McClendon is a Professor in the Department of English at Lehman College, City University of New York (CUNY). He holds a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and an M.A. in English from Hunter College. His teaching and research focus on African American literature, British literature, American writers in Paris, New York City fiction, and literary theory.
