Dr. Whitney Dunbar, a Clinical Professor at Pacifica Extension, holds a Psy.D. from Antioch University Santa Barbara. She has been residing in California for 26 years and has been actively involved with Hospice of the Conejo since 2008, facilitating weekly loss and bereavement groups. Her clinical experience spans psychological assessment services for children and adults, TMS treatment, and PHP/IOP programs for adolescents and young adults. In her role as Director of Clinical Training, she emphasizes empowering students entering the mental health field.
Dr. Dunbar’s approach integrates feminist perspectives and client-centered therapy, prioritizing unconditional positive regard. Her work focuses on holistic mental health support, combining community health initiatives with multidisciplinary collaboration.
