Weronika Lucińska serves as Assistant Professor in the Ceramics Department at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass, Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, Poland. Her practice centers on ceramic and glass installations exploring aquatic environments, icebergs, and material transitions.
She earned her PhD (2013-2017) and MA in ceramic design (2008-2013) from the same institution, specializing in visual arts and design disciplines.
Lucińska's research investigates the interplay of ceramics with water and light, manifested in series like 'Oceanarium' and 'Habitats' that challenge traditional ceramic boundaries through innovative combinations of wheel-thrown porcelain, blown glass, and fluid elements.
Her international recognition includes:
- WARTO 2019 Award in visual arts
- European Ceramic Ambassador title (2017)
- First award at UNICUM 2018 (Slovenia)
- Honorable mentions at CICA2019 (Spain) and major European competitions
- Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship (2011)
