Dagmara Bielecka

Dagmara Bielecka is an Assistant Professor at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław (ASP Wrocław), where she serves as a member of both the Faculty Council and Program Council for the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass. She has been associated with the Academy since graduating in 2000 and currently runs the 2nd Artistic Glass Studio.

Bielecka's artistic research centers on the multifaceted nature of glass as a medium. Her work explores:

• The dual characteristics of glass as both noble and fragile, transparent and colorful
• Traditional and experimental glass shaping techniques
• Historical decorative glass methods and ornamentation
• Using recognizable forms and motifs to create visual metaphors and cultural associations

Her creative philosophy emphasizes glass as a material for experimentation, design, and meaningful artistic expression, drawing inspiration from ingrained visual languages and sign systems.

Notable recognitions include:

• Winner of New Glass Review 38 competition at the Corning Museum of Glass
• Bronze Award in Emerge 2018 Bullseye Glass competition

Bielecka has curated the Glass section of the High Temperature Festival (2014-2018) and co-curated the 2019 'Connection' international workshops.
