Sebastian Łubiński

Sebastian Łubiński is an Assistant Professor at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław (ASP Wrocław), affiliated with the Faculty of Graphics and Media Art and the Department of Artistic Graphics. He earned a doctoral degree in 2020 and has served as a laboratory technician since 2012. His artistic research focuses on the nature of human existence, confrontation with the unknown (death, the absolute), and the interplay of cosmic space with figuration/abstraction. He employs techniques such as intaglio printing, charcoal, and stencil drawing.

Academic distinctions include a 2018 First Prize at the OSTEN Biennial of Drawing, a 2015 Rector’s Award for best diploma, and a 2018/2019 Ministerial scholarship. His work has been exhibited in China (Guanlan International Print Biennial), Macedonia (OSTEN Biennial), and Germany (OSTRALE'O 16). He coined the term Sacrahorysm (Latin: sacrum = holy, hora = moment) to describe his exploration of art’s universal resonance and ephemerality.
