Werner Drobesch

Ao.Univ.-Prof. Mag. Werner Drobesch is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Modern and Austrian History at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt's Institute of History. Active since 1988 as an academic staff member and since 2003 in his current rank, he specializes in Austrian history with emphases on social, economic, and regional history. His research spans the Reformation/Counter-Reformation era, Jesuit activities in Inner Austria, and the socio-economic dynamics of agrarian systems.
