Wenyu Liao

Dr. Wenyu Liao is an Assistant Research Professor at the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T). He coordinates the Lab of Future Cements and Carbon-negative Initiatives (FuCCI) and serves as a research investigator at the Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies (CIES). His roles include academic leadership in sustainable engineering and industry collaboration through technical committees of organizations such as the American Concrete Institute (ACI 122) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Research Focus: Dr. Liao’s work centers on carbon mineralization, thermal energy storage using phase change materials, and upcycling solid waste into construction materials.
