Professor Wendy Rawlings is a faculty member in the Department of English at the University of Alabama. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Utah (2000) and an MFA from Colorado State University (1996). Her research interests span Creative Writing, Literature, and Critical Theory, with a focus on narrative voice, contemporary fiction, and memoir. She teaches in the university’s MFA program and has been recognized for her work with awards including the Michigan Literary Award and the John Farrar Fellowship. Her publications include the novel The Agnostics (2007) and the short story collection Come Back Irish (2001). Her recent work explores themes ranging from body image to cultural identity through innovative prose forms.
