Wendy Jarvie is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Business, University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra. With a career spanning academia, government, and international development, she specializes in public policy and administration, focusing on Indigenous development, early childhood policy, and government program evaluation.

Wendy Jarvie’s publications reflect her expertise in Australian policy contexts, including books on employment services reform, literacy reforms, and qualitative research in education. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical implementation in cross-sector collaborations.
She has held senior roles in the Australian Public Service (e.g., Deputy Secretary in DEST and DEEWR), directed Australia’s first Office of Early Childhood Education and Child Care (2007–8), and worked with the World Bank on small states and middle-income country strategies. She currently serves on advisory committees for Indigenous evaluation, audit, and foreign aid evaluation.
