Dr. Wendy G. Lane, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She serves as Medical Director at the Baltimore Child Abuse Center, Director of the Preventive Medicine Residency Program, and Co-Director of the Program in Health Disparities and Population Health. In 2017, she was appointed Chair of the State Council on Child Abuse and Neglect.
- Education: B.A. in History (Magna Cum Laude, University of Pennsylvania), M.D. (University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine), M.P.H. in Maternal and Child Health (University of North Carolina School of Public Health).

Research Interests: Dr. Lane specializes in child maltreatment epidemiology, prevention, and disparities, with a focus on maternal and child health, birth outcomes, and health equity. Her work includes community-based interventions like B’more for Healthy Babies and the Safe Environment for Every Kid (SEEK) model.
