Wendy Acker

Wendy Acker, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Graduate Business Development and Chair of the School of Business at Avila University. She has been affiliated with Avila since 1988, initially teaching as an adjunct professor in Marketing courses such as Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Promotion. Her career at Avila reflects a strong commitment to higher education leadership and business education.

Dr. Acker holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Kansas State University, an MBA in Marketing from Avila University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration with a minor in Marketing Communications from the University of Kansas. Her academic and professional focus integrates business education, leadership, and the advancement of graduate business programs.

As Chair of the School of Business, she oversees curricula, faculty, and student engagement while driving strategic initiatives in graduate business development. Her work emphasizes bridging academic excellence with practical business skills, reflecting her diverse educational background and career trajectory.
